Generating more renewable energy is an essential part of creating a bright and sustainable future for Australia. We’re harnessing the power of the wind and solar energy, supporting the development of renewable energy assets.

Projects at a glance:

GREENOUGH RIVER SOLAR FARM

When it was built, the Greenough River Solar Farm was the first utility scale solar farm in Australia. Now we’ve expanded it by four times its original capacity. A total of 40 megawatts of generating capacity is now contributing to Western Australia’s renewable power generation.

Warradarge Wind Farm

The 180 megawatt Warradarge Wind Farm, near Eneabba in Western Australia’s Mid West Region completed construction in 2020.

Vestas was awarded both the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC); and operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts for the facility. Vestas design, manufacture, install and service wind turbines across the globe.

The Warradarge Wind Farm is recognised as one of the best renewable energy projects in Australia due to its location close to existing infrastructure and an abundant wind resource.

Albany Grasmere Wind Farm

The Albany Grasmere Wind Farm is a 35.4 megawatt facility comprised of 18 turbines. The farm was built in two stages adjacent to each other near Albany in Western Australia. It is situated on the coast about 12 kilometres south-west of the town of Albany, at an elevated position of approximately 80 metres above the Southern Ocean.

Helping the Environment

The current portfolio of Bright Energy Investments (BEI) renewable projects at full production are displacing approximately 623,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per annum, which is the equivalent of taking 210,000 cars off the road.
