Warradarge Wind Farm Community Grants

At Bright Energy Investments, we’re passionate about fostering positive change in the communities we serve. Now in its sixth year, our community investments have supported 31 local organisations. We’re proud to have funded a diverse range of local projects and events in the Shires of Coorow, Carnamah and surrounding areas.

2026 WARRADARGE WIND FARM COMMUNITY GRANT RECIPIENTS:

In 2026 we awarded grants to the following local organisations:

  • Carnamah Perenjori Netball Club - to purchase club marquees, scoreboards and first aid kits to enhance safety and professionalism.

  • Coorow-Latham Netball Club - to purchase goal post guards for the netball courts to improve player safety.

  • Eneabba Primary School - towards an outdoor classroom area for the junior students to extend their learning.

  • Green Head Golf Club - to purchase replacement pins and flags for the golf course.

  • Leeman Green Head Community Resource Centre - towards facility upgrades including a new administration desk and replacement of roofing screws.

  • Leeman Primary School P&C Association - towards a nature-based playground at the School.

  • North Midlands Project - towards upgrades to the garden at The Exchange to improve the visitor experience.

  • Yued Aboriginal Corporation - towards NAIDOC Week events that bring the community together to celebrate the Nyoongar culture of the area.

The garden at The Exchange in Carnamah will receive upgrades thanks to a Warradarge Wind Farm Grant

  • In 2025 we awarded grants to the following local organisations:

    • Carnamah Child Care Centre – towards climbing equipment, a sandpit, and ride-on toys to create a safe outdoor play environment.

    • Coorow Heritage Group – towards staging and entertainment for the 2025 Coorow District Pageant, which invites participation by the local community.

    • Coorow Community Land – towards new dining furniture to increase the capacity of the Coorow Hotel.

    • Eneabba Horseman’s Association – towards infrastructure for a multipurpose equestrian facility that caters to a broad range of disciplines.

    • Eneabba Tennis Club – to purchase club tennis racquets that will be available for loan to the community.

    • Green Head Bowling Club – to purchase a lawn bowls umpire kit to enable higher-level competitions to be hosted.

    • Green Head Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade – for an air compressor and power supply to pump the large fire truck’s tyres.

    • Leeman Bowling Club – to purchase sets of modern style lawn bowls that make the sport more accessible.

  • Item 2024 Warradarge Wind Farm Community Grant Recipients:

    • Coorow Primary School P&C – for upgrades to the school library.

    •  Leeman & Green Head Community Resource Centre – to provide new shelving and storage solutions for the Trash to Treasure donations initiative.

    • Leeman Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade – to purchase a collar dam inflating water storage and pump.

    • Leeman Country & Sporting Club – for solar panels to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.

    •  Ag Connect WA and North Midlands Agricultural Society – to support the Carnamah Big Tractor launch and community country carnival.

    • Green Head Coastcare Group – for an interpretative osprey nest sign in Morphett Park, Green Head. 

    • Carnamah Coorow Basketball Association: Purchase of height adjustable backboards for the Basketball court.

    • Eneabba P&C: School playground equipment for Eneabba Primary School.

    • St Johns Ambulance Leeman & Green Head Sub-Centre: Purchase of high-pressure washers to clean ambulances.

    • Green Head Community Association: Purchase of shade sails for the Community Hall playground.

    • Warradarge Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade: Contribution towards the purchase of 200,000 litre water storage tank.

    • Coorow Primary School P&C Association: To support an upgrade to the library at Coorow Primary School.

    • Green Head Sporting Club: Building upgrade to the community sporting club.

    • Green Head Community Association (Town Team Group): Commercial BBQ to support community event.

    • North Midlands Project: Computers for senior workshops and coding.

    • The Leeman Townscape and Tourism Advisory Group:
      indoor/outdoor cinema projector to create social events for the community.

    • Coorow Waddy CWA: Ride on mower to create a more usable and safe space for the community.

    • Coorow Playgroup: Kinder Gym equipment to cater for growing families.

    • Coorow Heritage Group: Solar powered security and lighting for the Koobabbie Precinct project.

    • Leeman Greenhead Community Garden: Solar powered bore pump for irrigation of the community garden.

    • North Midlands Project: New multi‐media projector for movie screenings in the local Shires.
